Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 19, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how ApiMeld ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with our website (apimeld.com) and the ApiMeld software ("the Software"). We believe in plain language — this document is intentionally short because we collect very little.

1. The Software collects nothing

ApiMeld is self-hosted software that runs entirely on your own infrastructure. The Software does not transmit any data to us. It has no telemetry, no usage tracking, no crash reporting, and no phone-home mechanism of any kind. We have no visibility into:

  • What scripts you write or run
  • What data your scripts process
  • How many tasks you schedule or how often they run
  • Who your users are or how they use the application
  • Any credentials, API keys, or data sources you configure

Everything stays on your server.

2. What we collect on this website

When you visit apimeld.com, standard web server and CDN logs may record your IP address, browser type, referring page, and pages visited. We use Cloudflare for hosting; their privacy policy applies to that traffic.

We do not use advertising trackers, third-party analytics, or tracking pixels on this site.

3. Trial license requests

When you request a free trial key via the trial form, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address

We use this information to:

  • Generate and email your trial license key
  • Send follow-up emails directly related to your trial or license (e.g. expiry reminders, support responses)

We do not sell, rent, or share this information with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not add you to any marketing list without your explicit consent.

4. License purchases

Paid licenses are processed through Paddle, our payment provider. When you purchase, Paddle collects payment information (card details, billing address) directly — we never see or store your payment card details. Paddle's privacy policy governs how they handle that data.

We receive from Paddle: your name, email address, and transaction details necessary to issue your license key and provide support.

5. Support communications

If you contact us at [email protected], we retain those emails to provide support and track issue resolution. We do not share support communications with third parties.

6. Data retention

  • Trial request records: retained for up to 2 years for fraud prevention and support purposes
  • Purchase and license records: retained for the life of the license plus any legally required retention period
  • Support emails: retained for up to 3 years

You may request deletion of your personal data by emailing [email protected]. Note that we may be required to retain certain records for legal or accounting purposes.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.

8. Children

Our services are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the website or Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
